The program is aimed at training management personnel in the healthcare system who possess modern applied competencies in the field of management, are able to manage processes and human resources, formulate a strategy for a medical organization, be able to define strategic and operational objectives and ensure their achievement.


ON1 to develop models for making optimal management decisions that ensure the effective functioning and development of the organization, including the healthcare system and related sectors.

ON2 to develop strategies for the growth and development of healthcare organizations at any level and of any type, utilizing comprehensive, accessible, and current tools.

ON3 to formulate an HR strategy / policy of the organization as an integral part of strategic management, individual and collective labor contracts, employee incentive systems, and build them into a holistic employee management system in accordance with the current legislation

ON4 to manage the company's assets in order to form the most profitable structure of financial assets, the optimal structure of liabilities and borrowed funds, and identify key areas of expenditure of the healthcare organization's resources..

ON5 to operate within the legal framework, considering ethical norms and approaches in the healthcare system.

ON6 to develop marketing programs and brand promotion strategies based on the effective use of marketing tools and the promotion of medical services, considering the specifics of the field and consumer needs, including the digitalization of the marketing sector.

ON7 to create a system for analyzing situations and processes related to the key functional areas of the healthcare organization: the development and implementation of strategies and development plans, management of people and organizations, finance, and project management.

ON8 to prepare a feasibility study for the project aimed at attracting investments in the healthcare sector and to calculate the key financial and economic indicators.
ON9 to manage HR processes with a focus on the highest priority tasks at a specific stage of business development based on leadership, including motivation, conflict management, and establishing an appropriate corporate culture that considers the social orientation and responsibilities of organizations.

ON10 to conduct analysis, accounting, and control of operational results, including financial and accounting records and reports, and to use them as sources of information prepared for economic calculations and the implementation of strategies.

ON11 to build a personal growth program aimed at promoting the development of instrumental, interpersonal, personal, and other competencies, management knowledge, and skills in employees..

ON12 to build effective communications with consumers, the media, government agencies and other stakeholders on all issues related to the functioning of organizations.

Training of personnel in the field of professional activity includes the following types of activities, professions, qualification levels :

- management activities in a healthcare organization (top, middle and lower level managers);

- project and expert activities (project manager, consultant, project developer, project executor, specialist);

- marketing activities in a healthcare organization (specialist, senior specialist, manager);

- financial manager in a healthcare organization (specialist, leading specialist);

- HR manager in a healthcare organization (specialist, leading specialist).

Admission rules:
Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign nationals who have completed professional higher education programs are eligible for admission to EMBA programs.

Enrollment in EMBA programs is conducted exclusively on a tuition-fee basis.

For each calendar year, an Admissions Committee, an Examination Committee, and an Appeals Committee shall be established, the composition of which shall be approved by an order of the Chairman of the Management Board – Rector of KazNU.

The Examination Committee shall be formed from among staff members holding a Doctor of Sciences or Candidate of Sciences degree, or a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in the relevant specialty, or an academic DBA degree.

Acceptance of applications for EMBA programs shall be conducted throughout the year. Entrance examinations and enrollment shall be held no later than five (5) working days before the start of the next educational discipline (module) within the EMBA program, in accordance with the approved academic calendar.

Procedure for Submission of Documents for Applicants to EMBA Programs

Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan applying for EMBA programs must have at least three (3) years of work experience (the Admissions Committee reserves the right to consider applicants with less than 3 years of work experience) and a higher education diploma.

Applicants holding Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in economics and non-economics specialties (respectively) may apply for EMBA programs. Admission to EMBA programs does not require completion of prerequisite difference courses.

Individuals who obtained educational documents from foreign educational institutions shall, in accordance with their level of education and field of study, submit documents that have undergone recognition or nostrification procedures.

Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan applying to EMBA programs shall submit the following documents to the KazNU Admissions Committee:

An application addressed to the Chairman of the Management Board – Rector of KazNU in the prescribed form;

A higher education diploma with transcripts/appendices (notarized copy);

A personal personnel record sheet (original) or a certificate from the place of employment confirming managerial work experience;

Six (6) photographs, size 3x4 cm;

Medical certificate form No. 075-U with fluorography;

Copy of identity card (3 copies);

In case of insufficient work experience – a motivation letter substantiating the need for study, and a recommendation letter from an employer, teacher, scientific consultant, or academic supervisor from previous stages of study;

List of scientific publications (if available).

Admission of Foreign Citizens

Foreign citizens shall be admitted in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, international treaties, and internal regulations of KazNU.

Foreign citizens applying for EMBA programs shall submit the following documents to the KazNU Admissions Committee:

1. Original documents:

Higher education diploma (with apostille);

Transcript.

2. Notarized translations of documents:

Diploma – 3 copies of notarized translation into Russian/Kazakh;

Transcript – 3 copies of notarized translation into Russian/Kazakh;

Passport – 3 copies of notarized translation into Russian/Kazakh.

Important: all documents must be translated and notarized in Kazakhstan.

3. Two (2) photographs, size 3x4 cm;

4. Medical documents:

Medical certificate form No. 086-U;

Copy of preventive vaccination record;

Certificate confirming absence of HIV.

Important: all medical certificates must be issued in Kazakhstan.
